Haute Campe Staff
Tom Negovan

Known Aliases: Tommy Grrl, Head Hunter, Father Negovan
Age: 201 (Edgar Allan Poe’s Siamese twin)
Height/Weight: missing a great deal in both areas
Case History: Gallery director and head curator, and often found breaking into whore houses to rummage for vintage cult movie posters. He is the author of “the Union of Hope and Sadness: The Art of Gail Potocki” and “Movie Mojo: Ghanian Movie Posters”. His claim to fame is that artworks that had once graced his home to hold up his dirty underpants are now on permanent display in museums including The Art Institute of Chicago. He tries to keep things around his place neater now, the operative word being “tries”. He is occasionally dressed as Edgar Allan Poe, and stands around convention booths to look smart and talk about art, which he does well- as long as a sleazy tranny doesn’t walk by and grab his attention.
Jack

Known Aliases: Jack Absinthe, Jackie Oh!, Jack con Carne
Age: A Lady never tells (especially if they don’t have a tongue)
Height/Weight: see above
Case History: Born to a cult of racially ambiguous and sexually deviant beatniks, the creature that would be come to known as “Jack” was destined to be a damaged from jump street. After an attempt by his parents into becoming the key ingredient in a California cheeseburger, the pitiful young thing fled the mean cornfields of central Illinois and- via acts too explicit and deranged to publish here- eventually ended up hustling in the unforgiving gutters of Chicago’s art scene. Tickling tricks to earn extra cash in between surviving off art opening wine and cheese, he eventually crossed paths with priest- turned poster dealer Thomas Negovan (who would come to be known as “Tommy Grrl”) who took the disheveled artfag in. As a member of the Campe, Jack’s duties range from design and maintaining aesthetics to keeping the fine silver and chainsaws polished (and of course removing Tom’s underpants from all the artwork).
